Do you think in stereotypes?

Day 1 - Our group spent the first day deciding what our actual experiment would be.  We ended the day with multiple ideas but overall gravitated towards one.  The idea consists of our volunteer answering questions about who they believe did something.  They will be standing inside of a box so they will answer truthfully.

Day 2 - More ideas for our experiment have been thought of.  We will have the volunteer enter their race, age, gender, etc. before answering the questions. 

Day 3 - We finished handouts 11-15 and discussed a lot on what we would do for our actual experiment.

Day 4 - We finished handouts 16-19.  After finishing the documents we came up with more ideas for our experiment. 

Day 5 - After talking about even more ideas we thought of how many people

Day 6 - The actual psych fair.  We did a pretty good job of staying at our booth and alternating people.  Overall, 266 people tried out or experiment. 

Day 7 - We evaluated all of the data we received from the psych fair.  The general consensus being that most people in our school believed the same throughout the experiment.  We believe the results are so similar because of our demographics. 

Day 8 - We finished our final draft handout.

11/12/18 For our project, our group has decided to study fear. We wanted to know how the body reacts to fear and why, as well as what makes us afraid of certain things. We have decided to create a dark room for people to enter and then inhibit a few of their main senses in order to see how a person reacts when they cannot control their surroundings. After, we will be asking those who have gone through our "dark room" questions about how they felt during the entire process as well as after it. In order to measure the body's response, we will be taking the person's blood pressure before the experiment and right after as well. 11/13/18 Today, we all worked together as a group in order to finish all of our student handouts. We were missing a group member so it did require us to work harder, but we almost finished. Day 1 - Working on student handouts and submitting them by 11:59 tonight. We completed handout 16 and 17 in class together. Finished handout 13. After completing this we worked on annotations. Day 4 - We disguised the layout of our poster and started working on the creation of our surveys. Day 5 -Reviewed the layout and design that we want on it. Will create the poster over break.

Day 1 My groups' experiment is seeing if there is any direct correlation between the personality and traits of individuals that see 1 image first in a figure ground illusion. On our first day we did all of our student handout sheets. These sheets had our division of labor, hypothesis, study research, and experimental designs on them. Day 2 My group worked on our project outline and went through the different research papers we found on our topic so we could get an idea of what to do with our experiment. Day 3 My group finished all our student handouts and started discussing what questions we are going to ask people on our survey. We then decided on 10 questions we are going to ask people such as age, gender, and favorite type of music. Day 4 We started figuring out what we are going to write up on our poster and what images we are going to use.
