11/28  TODAY IS THE PSYCH FAIR!!!!!! Here are some fun pics and videos we took throughout the day! In the PAC it was very hot, but it didn´t really affect our experiment, we all were just sweating. It was also super crowded in the PAC so we collected a lot of data! We all had a fun time and the brownies tasted so good!  11/27  Today was the last class day to work and all we did was work on our tri-fold and decide how many brownies and frosting we have to buy tonight.  11/20 #Day11 We worked on our tri-fold today and discussed what else has to be done before Monday. We have to make brownies on Sunday night for our participants. That´s pretty much all we did. 11/19 #Day10 Our group made the google doc form for our project and asked a series of questions for our participants to answer about it and tomorrow we will work on our tri-fold.  11/16  #Day9 It´s Friday!!! 11/12/18 Our experiment is the goggles and scooters. We worked today on division of labor, developing our hypothesis, and learning about our topic. 11/13/18 today we worked on outlines 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. we decided on our experiment which will be three rounds of scootering round 1: without distortion goggles (control group) round 2: with distortion goggles round 3: with distortion goggles, but toss them a ball to improve heir hand eye coordination 11/14/18 we worked on outlines 16 and 17 we decided that our topic is brain plasticity and how our brain is able to adjust under altered circumstances 11/15/18 outlines 17 and 18 wrote out our procedure and decided on materials we needed started to talk about what to put on our trifold poster 11/16/18 worked on the next outlines and wrote out the background information 11/19/18 and 11/20/18 gathered pictures and information for the poster 11/21/18 to 11/26/18 break! put together trifold 11/27/18 gathere...

Group 17

Group 17 "The Overseer Experiment" DAY 5 (11-12-18) Our group has the basic premise of our experiment. At first we were thinking about utilizing the space of the PAC. Early concepts sprung up with trying to manipulate subjects' fears while having them perform tasks. Eventually this pivoted towards ideas of observation and social inhibition, and something clicked. The idea is that we have subjects complete either an obstacle course or skill based test in two rounds. Round 1 is our control, where we tell the subject to simply complete it as fast as possible. For Round 2 we'd tell the subjects to complete the task again, this time under observation by researchers. They would indicate their presence, and the second round would start. From there we would see the impact of an "overseer" as an independent variable, and determine if subjects are prone to social inhibition or facilitation based on their presence.
