Group #8

11/12/18 - Today in class we worked on student handout number 11,12,13,14, and 15. We completed 11,12,13, and 14 and we are about halfway done with 15.  We also assigned roles for each person as well.

11/13/18- Today in class we worked on student handout number 15 and we finished it in class. It took the whole hour.

11/14/18- Today in class we worked on student handouts 16,17, and 18.  Mitch did student handout 16, Anwar worked on 17 and Chris and I started to work on the rough draft. We finished 16 and 17 today.

11/15/18- Today we continued to work on student handout 18 which was the rough draft. We worked on this as a group for the whole hour.

11/16/18-  Today we finished the rough draft and turned it in on canvas. We also completed student handout numbers 19 and 20. We also started working on student handouts 21 and 22.

11/19/18- Today in class we started to work on our display board for the psych fair. He put in the colored banner and put the title of our experiment.  We also came up with visuals to use on the poster. We decided to use different pictures of the internet.

11/20/18-  Today we finished working on our display board for the fair. We put the pictures on the display and came up with the key points of the experiment. We also made it as colorful as possible to get peoples attention.

11/27/18- Today in class we worked on the stuff we would be using in the fair. For example, we made the papers with lines on it to use in our experiment.


11/28/18- Today was the fair. The experiment went well, to say the least.  The results were close to what we expected. Some problems were that it was really hot upsairs. Also it was really crowded in there so our table didn´t get that much attention as we thought it would get. But overall the psych fair was fun and I would do it again.

11/12/18 For our project, our group has decided to study fear. We wanted to know how the body reacts to fear and why, as well as what makes us afraid of certain things. We have decided to create a dark room for people to enter and then inhibit a few of their main senses in order to see how a person reacts when they cannot control their surroundings. After, we will be asking those who have gone through our "dark room" questions about how they felt during the entire process as well as after it. In order to measure the body's response, we will be taking the person's blood pressure before the experiment and right after as well. 11/13/18 Today, we all worked together as a group in order to finish all of our student handouts. We were missing a group member so it did require us to work harder, but we almost finished. Day 1 - Working on student handouts and submitting them by 11:59 tonight. We completed handout 16 and 17 in class together. Finished handout 13. After completing this we worked on annotations. Day 4 - We disguised the layout of our poster and started working on the creation of our surveys. Day 5 -Reviewed the layout and design that we want on it. Will create the poster over break.

Day 1 My groups' experiment is seeing if there is any direct correlation between the personality and traits of individuals that see 1 image first in a figure ground illusion. On our first day we did all of our student handout sheets. These sheets had our division of labor, hypothesis, study research, and experimental designs on them. Day 2 My group worked on our project outline and went through the different research papers we found on our topic so we could get an idea of what to do with our experiment. Day 3 My group finished all our student handouts and started discussing what questions we are going to ask people on our survey. We then decided on 10 questions we are going to ask people such as age, gender, and favorite type of music. Day 4 We started figuring out what we are going to write up on our poster and what images we are going to use.
